Simmers Restaurant Website Redesign
Rebuilt the Simm3r Restaurant website from the ground up to match the quality of the brand. The existing site felt generic so the focus was on design, performance and functionality.
Simm3r Restaurant & Café is a 4.3-star fine dining brand in Rayfield, Jos, blending Nigerian culinary heritage with world-class refinement. I took this on as a personal project after noticing their online presence wasn't doing justice to the quality of their brand.
Design & Discovery
I audited the existing site, researched what makes restaurant websites convert, and built a mood board from Dribble references before refining by hand. The chosen direction is warm, rich and luxurious — letting the restaurant's own photography and video carry the visual weight.

- Fully responsive 6-page site: Home, Menu, About, Contact, Catering Services and Culinary School
- Interactive menu with live search and category filters
- Functional reservation form handling guest count, meal type, date, time, dietary needs and special requests, powered by Resend
- Scroll-based animations via Motion for React for a premium feel
- All media sourced directly from the restaurant's Instagram and Google Business page — no stock imagery
- Images and video managed through Cloudinary for optimized, responsive delivery
- Post-deployment Lighthouse audit with strong scores across SEO, performance and accessibility
Impact
The site now matches the quality of Simm3r's physical dining experience — turning a passive placeholder into an active part of the brand's customer journey.
